Letter to Senator Sherrod Brown – Deprivation of Unalinable Rights

Dear Senator Sherrod Brown:

I am writing this letter in request to a progress report on the letter I wrote to you on 8/08/2011 in regards to the restoration of our (my wife and I) natural and legal rights by which we are entitled. (Attached hereto)

It has been six weeks since I made the request to address and resolve the Issues on the Deprivation of Federal and State Constitution Rights, and the Deprivation of Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The biggest problem we are having right now would be the deprivation of these rights; this would include civil rights, civil liberties, natural rights, and legal rights. Under the rule of law and procedural due process there is an order of procedure that must be met not to violate the unalienable and legal rights of an individual. Both the State and Federal Governments are in violation of my Human Right.

The State and Federal Governments cannot deprive us of our rights by which we are entitled as the natural rights of man and protected under the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of Ohio, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

You, yourself, on your website had stated “protection of individual rights and liberties is a fundamental part of the oath of office I took to support and defend the Constitution”… and that you “opposed discrimination in every form and fought to protect the civil rights and liberties of all citizens”.

Excerpt from your website:

One of the true measures of a democracy is its respect for the rights of its citizens, even in difficult times. I believe the protection of individual rights and liberties is a fundamental part of the oath of office I took to “support and defend the Constitution,” an oath that itself is required by the Constitution. Throughout my career, in Columbus and Washington, I have opposed discrimination in every form and fought to protect the civil rights and liberties of all citizens.

The Congressional Oversight Panel is to see to the protection of all civil liberties and individual rights; the rights to freedom, freedom from torture, to security and a fair trial… It is not my job to hire an attorney to see that the Congressional Oversight Panel secures my rights… it is your job to maintain the checks and balances and protecting civil liberties and individual rights of all Ohio citizens.

Congressional Oversight Panel:
Congressional oversight is intended to prevent waste and fraud, “protect civil liberties and individual rights”.

Civil liberties are rights and freedoms that provide an individual specific rights such as the right to life, freedom from torture, freedom from slavery and forced labor, the right to liberty and security, right to a fair trial, the right to defend one’s self, the right to privacy, freedom of conscience, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly and association, and the right to marry and have a family. Within the distinctions between civil liberties and other types of liberty, it is important to note the distinctions between positive rights and negative rights.

Congressperson Lee Hamilton explained about how Congress functions within American government:

To me the key to understanding it is balance. The founders went to great lengths to balance institutions against each other – balancing powers among the three branches: Congress, the president, and the Supreme Court; between the House of Representatives and the Senate; between the federal government and the states; among states of different sizes and regions with different interests; between the powers of government and the “rights of citizens”, as spelled out in the “Bill of Rights” … no one part of government dominates the other.

Let’s see to it that our government works the way our forefathers intended it to…

Sincerely,
Stephen R. Lilley
